Benchwarmer Baseball Experts League-Standings Update

In the expert's fantasy baseball league I am participating in on Benchwarmer Baseball (http://www.benchwarmerbaseball.net), we have completed three weeks of our head-to-head format.

Currently I am tied for the lead in the "Blogs Division" with a 12-6 record. I am also part of a five-way tie for the league's best record.

My MVN Fantasy Outsiders squad, named for the website I contribute to(http://www.mvn.com), is being led offensively by San Diego Padres' 1B Adrian Gonzalez, Toronto Blue Jays' 2B Aaron Hill and Washington Nationals' 3B Ryan Zimmerman with solid contributions from Minnesota Twins OF/DH Jason Kubel, Houston Astros' OF Carlos Leee and Kansas City Royals' OF Coco Crisp along with Colorado Rockies' OF Brad Hawpe.

My pitching staff is being led by Derek Lowe of the Atlanta Braves and Johnny Cueto of the Cincinnati Reds along with Kyle Davies of the Kansas City Royals (who was named the league's starting pitcher of the week for the first week of our season). Bartolo Colon of the Chicago White Sox and John Maine of the New York Mets round out my starting five and have been solid contributors.

My bullpen is led by Brian Fuentes of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, with notable contributions from Fernando Rodney of the Detroit Tigers and Kevin Gregg of the Chicago Cubs.

It will be interesting to see how this league works out, and how well my team is able to stay competitive. It is a different format than the most common forms of fantasy baseball, and the key is managing your team much like you would a real roster.
